I started training when I was 7 years old in school. At the time I did sprints, long-jump and basketball. It was always bodyweight exercises.
Sprinting meant competing.
Competing meant winning.
Winning required discipline.
Discipline resulted in not having time for what normal kids in a township had enough time to do. I was always training.
Because I grew up training and loving it, I grew into the weightlifting lifestyle and never looked back. It ended up becoming my passion, not just my lifestyle.
